Q. Can I change the suggested destinations or accommodations in your itineraries?
Sure, you can. That’s what separates us from the rest. At Bhutan Exodus, you can create your own special itinerary according to your style, desires and taste.
Q. Have you experienced the destinations and properties you recommend?
Yes, we have. Our staff regularly visit the destinations we operate in and experience the overall experience. Only those properties (hotels) that pass our strict standards make the list.
Q. Do you arrange itineraries for kids?
Yes, we can arrange specific itineraries that are designed with children – old or young. From babysitting services to private rooms for nannies, we can arrange it all.
Q. When is the best time to visit Bhutan?
One can visit Bhutan any time of the year. But the ideal time would be between the seasons of spring and autumn (March to October).
Q. Would a visitor require travel insurance?
It is advisable to get insurance coverage from your home country.
Q. Is tipping permitted in Bhutan?
Tipping is permitted and accepted in Bhutan but it is not a rule of thumb.
Q. Are the travel/trek guides qualified?
Yes, they are. To obtain a guide license in Bhutan, one has to meet all the criteria set by the Tourism Council of Bhutan.
Q. What kind of hotels/accommodations can we expect?
From five-star to luxury and deluxe to standard Bhutan has it all. WIFI will be available in all the hotels and resorts unless, of course, you are on a trek or staying at a farmhouse.
Q. Is tobacco banned in Bhutan?
Yes, there is a ban on the sale of tobacco. So you are advised to bring your own stock. However, please be aware that there is a ceiling on the quantity you can bring in.
Q. Is Bhutan Exodus a certified Tour Company?
Yes, we are. We are registered with the Tourism Council of Bhutan and also a member of the Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators (ABTO).
Q. Is it safe to pay in advance for the trip?
Yes, it is absolutely safe because your payment goes directly to a government account. Bhutanese tour operators receive their due only when your tour is complete.
Q. When must I pay for my tour?
For the government to clear your Visa formalities (done only after the money is received), it is advisable to pay at least four weeks before your date of arrival. During the peak seasons, you should pay 10 weeks prior to your arrival so as to confirm your airline bookings.
